Sunday Gatherings –
what to expect

Coming along to church for the first time can be daunting, so we want to do what we can to help you feel at comfortable and know what to expect. If you have any questions, please do get in touch.

What to expect…
Our Sunday Gathering will be hosted by someone who will take us through our whole time together. This will include a welcome, and explaining what’s happening.
Refreshments are served at the end of our gathering.

Worship
Our sung worship is led by a band from the front. This might include drums, and can sometimes be a bit loud! All the words are projected onto the wall so you can sing along, if you want to.

Talk
We explore themes from the Bible that aim to challenge and inspire us, and apply to our everyday lives. Our talks usually last around 25 minutes. (View our current programme of talks here).

Response
After the talk there’s space to think and respond.
There are always opportunities to chat and pray with someone.

Accessibility
We have a Hearing Loop available to use.

You can use this ‘Translate’ link if you’d like to follow along in a different language

Small Room – is a space just on the right as you come in the main door. If you have a small child and you’d like a bit of space, please feel free to use this as and when you need. Equally, if you’d just like to take a moment for whatever reason, this space is available.
There is also a TV with a live link into what’s happening in the main hall.

Questions…

What time does it start?
Our service starts at 10.30am. There will be a welcome team to say hello and help you find a seat.

Where is the church?
We meet at Ebenezer Church, 286 Filton Avenue, Horfield, BS7 0BA. (Directions here.)

What should you wear?
Most people dress casually, wear whatever you feel comfortable in.

Where can you park?
There is plenty of on-street parking. Please look out for our neighbours, and not block their drives!

What about my kids?
Children and young people stay in for the first part of the service. They then go into Primary school and Secondary school age related groups.

We look forward to meeting you!
