It is with great pleasure and excitement that we announce that building work has commenced on the toilet and office refurbishment project!
A small team expertly planned and completed the demolition of the brick office wall in advance of the builders moving in shortly to begin ripping out the old toilets.
We are extremely grateful to the amazing organisations and individuals who have contributed financially to help make this project possible.
This page will be updated regular with photos of the toilets redevelopment.
Floor has been resurfaced and first coat of paint on the walls.
Most of the ceilings are up and electrician working on lighting.
Framework for ceiling tiles has been started and toilet units all finished off.
Plumbing and plastering all done.
Plastering of the toilets nearly finished. Change of direction to stairs so when door opens into main hall from corridor works well.
Wall knocked down to prepare for knocking through for new door into main hall (by the bottom of the stairs). Work continued on cubicles (including pipework)
Toilet cubicles formed and laytex subfloor started.
More framework put in place for unisex toilets and accessible toilet.
Ceiling taken down and structure of new individual toilets beginning to go up
Windows removed and blocked up
Previous toilets and walls all removed
Office wall taken down and rubble removed
Staff office cleared out and ready for the wall to be dismantled.
