Over the last 20 years we’ve had the pleasure of having loads of Uni students come to Ebe and be a part of our church family. (www.ebe.org.uk/studentstories)
Students are good for church! They bring life and new thinking, they bring opportunities for us to invest and develop, they bring challenges, and they reach out to a generation church often finds hard to reach on its own.
As a church, our vision is to reach out into our community. Over 29,000 students go to UWE – we are 10-15 minutes from UWE’s main campus, with large numbers of students also living in our local community. There's loads of potential and possibilities!
Hope Bristol 2018 (in partnership with The Noise) is happening across North, South, East and Central Bristol during the Easter school holidays (4-7 April). We are looking forward to all that is happening across the city which you can find out more here - www.hopebristol.org.
Locally, we have 2 family fun events, 3 senior citizen events, as well as many community projects.
Over the last 17 years, The Noise in Bristol has grown from 30 volunteers to over 900 volunteers from local churches. It started because a few leaders were inspired by Message 2000 in Manchester and ‘caught a vision’ to see this reproduced in Bristol. Now is the time to give away to young people across the nation, what we have seen happen in the urban estates in Bristol and see what God is going to do with the next generation. At the same time, we continue to build the next stage of united action of churches in Bristol together to reach this city, especially its youth.
Hope Bristol 2018 is a citywide opportunity to reach out and show God's love in practical ways. This five-day mission, during Easter, Tuesday 3rd – Saturday 7th April 2018, will be held in partnership with national organisations Soul Survivor and Hope, as well as local organisations such as Bristol Noise and Müllers.

On Friday 2nd March, a group from Ebe Church are going to take part in ‘Sleep Out 2018’ in Bristol to raise money for Crisis Centre Ministries. A small group of us did this in 2014 and 2016 and we are looking get involved again to highlight the reality of homelessness in the city.
Each year, Crisis Centre Ministries helps hundreds of people off the streets and feeds thousands more. We are using the Sleep Out to raise vital funds to support the work that they do, as well as raise awareness of the issues that their clients face, such as homelessness and social exclusion.
The night is not a complete homeless experience but a small insight into what it might be like without a safe place to call home, having to rely on the support of others. It will be cold, it will be memorable, and it will make a difference.
Please consider sponsoring the Ebe Sleep Out Team here -
A group of organisations (including Ebe Church) and community representatives, including local schools and Bristol City Council, working in Horfield have got together to find out what is important to you in your local area to help you make things better.
We are trying an exciting new project by working mostly with children and young people from across the area. So we need to find out what school you go to or where you live and how old you are. This will let us know if the project has worked!
