Post Alpha Courses
In the future scientists will be able to prolong life, but will it be worth living? Without purpose or joy, extended life seems a hollow victory. So how do we live life to the fullest?
‘A Life Worth Living’ course is based on Paul’s letter to the Philippians. It is a practical and positive guide to achieving exactly this - uncovering in us a new heart, new purpose, new attitude and a new confidence to the way we live our lives.
This nine weeks course is run as a follow on from the ‘Challenging Lifestyles’ course run during the Spring/Summer terms and is for people who have completed the Alpha Course in the last few years. The format of the evening is a meal with the current Alpha group, followed by a DVD talk and small group discussion.
Next course starts Wednesday 12th October
7.30pm - 9.30pm at Ebenezer Church Building
If you would like to be involved then contact the Ebe Office.
Challenging Lifestlyes Course
During the Spring Term, we run a post-Alpha course called 'Challenging Lifestyles'. It is run in the same format as our Alpha Course but using dvd talks and then opportunity for discussion in groups afterwards.
This series is based on Jesus’ radical teaching on the Sermon on the Mount, and suggests ways in which we can apply this teaching to our own lives. Some of the sessions covered include ‘How to find the secret of happiness’ and ‘How to change the world around you’. Other topics include the Old Testament, Sex, Divorce and Anger.
Next course starts in January 2012
