During the second half of 2003, Ebe is starting a new practical-living evening seminar series, which we are running at Monks Park Doctors Surgery in Monks Park Avenue. We are continuing to build on our partnership with the Surgery, after running an Alpha Course there, during Autumn 2002.

The ‘Letsdolife’ series will be run in the style of an Alpha Course, so the evening will start with a light buffet, followed by a talk by a speaker or on video and then we will split into small groups for discussion.

The first two sessions will cover ‘parenting’ and issues covered in future evenings during 2003 include ‘Money Issues’, ‘How to drug proof your children’, ‘Primetime – Life after 60’.

Please take the opportunity to attend the evenings yourselves or invite friends along. Also we are looking for volunteers to help run small groups. We are not looking for experts, just people who will facilitate discussions and encourage people to share their life experiences.

The first evening is on Monday 2nd June and second evening is on Monday 21st July.

The Sixty Minute Parent -
Being a parent is not easy. There’s no guarantee how our children will turn out. Yet there will come a time when each of us will look back and want to know that we have given this task our very best effort.

Subjects covered on Monday 2nd June, include - Giving love without strings, rediscovering the power of praise, giving time, etc.

Subjects covered on Monday 21st July, include - Defend the boundaries, set yourself free from what other people think, recognising the uniqueness of each child, etc.

Full details of ‘Letsdolife’ is on the new website - www.ebe.org.uk/letsdolife or speak to Simon Faulkner or Stewart North, if you have more questions.

This will be available at the beginning of September. The next issue will feature the launch of new vision for equipping and reaching out to the ‘emerging generation’ (18-30) , as well as articles on 125 project, TIME OUT, the next move in Ebe’s outreach in Lockleaze and much more.
