During February Half Term week, 40+ primary school children from Lockleaze came to St. James Church, every morning to be flown from Lockleaze International Airport, to Banana Island for the Going Bananas Holiday Club 2003.

On Banana Island, the children met the Banana Boys - Ripe and Rotten, played games, sang songs and met the Bible characters who came out of the 'Time Share Time Shed'. It was a great week for everyone who got involved and went Bananas! Many thanks to Simon Faulkner, Margaret Lilley, Ebe’s year team and all the other volunteers who prepared, organised and ran this Holiday Club. Let’s continue to pray how we can share the good news of Jesus with children in Lockleaze. Pray also for those who go into Romney Avenue Junior school on a weekly basis and help as classroom assistants.
