Jesus loves the crowds. He has compassion on them. And he wants to use you and me to win them. One by one. At the heart of LOCKLEAZE ‘THE NOISE’ weekend is ‘compassion for the crowds’.

On Saturday 3rd May - Monday 5th May (Bank Holiday Weekend), Ebe is working with City Church North (who ran ‘The Noise’ in Lockleaze during last August) to serve and bless the community of Lockleaze. There will be litterpicking teams clearing up some of the worst areas of the community, a team working with Horfield Community Centre on some landscaping, various other gardening and clearing up projects, in conjunction with Lockleaze Neighbourhood Trust and other community projects.

Throughout the weekend, there will be FREE CAR WASHES provided at a location, on Gainsborough Square. On Bank Holiday Monday (5th), we are planning to run a children’s fun afternoon on Gainsborough Square, from 2pm - 4pm. Bouncy Castles, face painting, hair braiding, games, etc.. Everyone in the community is welcome!!

The weekend will start off with a cooked breakfast at St. James Church on Saturday morning and finish off on Monday evening with a BBQ at Adrian and Rosemary Reed’s house for all volunteers. Full details of the programme which includes worship, teaching and equipping in the mornings, is available on a separate flyer or on the website -
www.ebe.org.uk/thenoise.

Sign up on Sunday or online to be involved for the whole weekend or even for one day! Everyone can make a difference!! ‘The Noise’ weekend is part of the ongoing ‘compassion teams’ initiative organised by Ebe to ‘show God’s love in practical ways’. It is a high impact and high profile weekend. But even if you are away for this weekend, why not sign up to get involved in compassion teams on a regular basis. Pick up a leaflet from the Welcome Desk, on Sunday mornings or look at Ebe’s website.
