Ukraine Response

It continues to be horrific to watch the news and social media with all that is happening in Ukraine and the growing refugee crisis. There are many ways that people have been encouraged to respond and this changes rapidly. Here are few suggestions -

PRAY - this is most important thing that we can do. Check out HERE this recent online prayer gathering organised by Krish Kandiah with church leaders in Ukraine. 24-7 Prayer also have some really helpful prayer resources HERE. Join with other Christians across Europe in praying HERE

GIVE - Charities are highly recommending that giving financial support is the best way to act at this stage. Tearfund (who are part of DEC Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal) have an online giving page HERE and you can give directly through them and gift-aid, if you are eligible.

ACT - Rachael Bee, who is one of our global partners will be speaking on BBC One Politics West programme on Sunday morning (13th) at 10am about Ukraine and possibility of refugees coming to Bristol. You will be able to catch up HERE. Welcome Churches have organised a response HERE as people from Ukraine start to arrive in UK.

For all those who are interested in or in need of clarification regarding the Bristol response to Ukrainian refugees, Christian Action Bristol has created a blogpost with information regarding the general situation, matching, volunteering, the initiative of Church Welcome Hubs across Bristol, and sources for support. Details here - https://www.christianactionbristol.org.uk/ukraineresponsebristol/

We will update this blog post with ways to keep connected and involved. Please contact us with other ways that you are individually using to respond.
