Social Justice

God’s heart is for the lost and the poor, and as a church we have a responsibility to get involved in our world and spread the ‘good news of Jesus’ in what we say AND what we do.

Jesus announced the beginning of His ministry in Luke 4 with these words: "The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favour."

"Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy." (Proverbs 31:8 -9)

Local Projects

At Ebe, we support a few local charitable organisations which work with the marginalised in our city. We support them in prayer, financially and with volunteers involved. Please contact the Church Office if you would like to know more.
